Saturday 30 November - Pelvic Floor / The Science + The Shakti

Back by popular demand.

This unique workshop explores the female pelvis and the subtle but powerful energies that reside in this area.

To access the innate energy of Shakti, our life force, we need to connect with our entire pelvic area and release the tensions and blocks we hold within.

The pelvic area, connected by many major nerves including the vagus nerve, can be seen as an extension of our nervous system.

It is often affected by negative experiences, leading to tension, internal pain, weakness, and lack of sensation.

The pelvic floor plays a crucial role in the optimal functioning of many bodily processes, including respiration, reproduction, menstruation, elimination, pleasure, and more.

In this workshop, we will examine how the pelvic floor becomes unstable through both lack of strength and hypertonic muscles (internal tension), and how this can manifest as pelvic pain and numbness, disconnection from your body, stress incontinence, and overactive bladder syndrome.

We will discuss what you need to do and what to avoid for good pelvic function.

Heidi teaches from both a scientific and a yogic perspective. She will guide you through strengthening and releasing practices for your pelvic floor and specific practices to connect you to the innate Shakti power housed in your pelvic bowl, increasing internal sensation at any stage of life. You will participate in a “Pussy Yoga" sequence to learn effective ways to release and strengthen the pelvic floor, and to connect with this Shakti force.

Activating and developing this energy can bring great benefits to your body and life, especially your creative and sexual life.

This workshop is for all adult women at any stage of life, with or without a womb and cervix.
